How To Connect Cursive Letters in Design Space

Hello! Today I am doing a quick tutorial on how to connect cursive letters in Cricut Design Space. Let’s get started!

For this tutorial, I am using the font “Emiline”, which is included with a Cricut Access subscription. If you don’t have this font or want to use a different cursive font, there are tons of options to select from in the drop down font menu.

STEP 1: Type Out a Word

I typed out the word hello and the letters are automatically formatted to be separate. This looks a bit strange…we want to connect them together.

STEP 2: Decrease the Letter Space

To get these letters connected, simply decrease the letter space by clicking the down arrow. This removes any space in between the letters.

For this cursive font, I lowered the letter space to about -0.6 and it looks like most of the letters are now connected.

Step 3: Manually Connect Letters by UnGrouping

The letters “l” and “o” still aren’t fully connected, so we’ll need to manually connect them.

To connect them manually, right click, select UnGroup, and physically drag the letters into place with your mouse.

Step 4: Reattach The Letters

Hooray! Your cursive letters should be fully connected now.

The last and final step is to select all, right click, and hit Attach.
